Pilot projects in Sri Lanka

Due to the poor conditions of the educational institutions located in rural areas, we must first increase the supply for our project partners in form of donations in kind to education and science, sport and art. We are looking for essential teaching and learning materials to ensure a sustainable educational development:

In Jedermann ist etwas Kostbares, das in keinem anderem ist (Martin Buber)

When you want something with all your heart, that’s when you are closest to the Soul of the World. It’s always a positive force. – Paulo Coelho, The Alchimist

  • Education and training materials such as pencils, erasers, paper, sharpeners, exercise books, school books, binders, musical instruments, paint boxes, chalks/ crayons and satchels/ schoolbags (book bags)
  • Educational materials such as (wall) maps, chalkboards or whiteboards, flip charts, pin boards and notice boards. Very important are also functioning laptops, scanner and copier, as well as wall posters with the alphabet and the 1×1
  • Furthermore, the learning environment must be equipped with sufficient school desks and chairs.
  • In Order to encourage and support the motor skill development of the children we need sports and play equipment

What we urgently need at the moment are monetary donations or a sponsorship regarding the shipments to Sri Lanka

All your donations will be shipped in containers to Sri Lanka and distributed to the schools in need.

Please provide us with all the materials that you do not really need, or can do without – the school kids will be grateful!

Our long-term goals are to secure the school ground facilities with the help of donations and to create a child- and development friendly environment. This includes:

  • Fencing of the site (not barbed wire)
  • To equip the school yard with a playground
  • If necessary build another school building
  • Further social and humanitarian projects (toilets, water, electricity, medical care)
